2014 - The Gainesville Sun and Ocala-Star Banner released a comprehensive and informative compilation of articles on Florida's springs entitled Fragile Springs with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Florida Springs Institute. The results of the project were an award-winning book and website. Hard copies of Fragile Springs can still be acquired for a $20 donation to the Springs Institute at events or by contacting us directly. 

August 23, 2013 - Commissioner Adam Putnam of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services convened an important meeting of the Water Policy Advisory Council in Gainesville to discuss agricultural effects on springs. click here to access the meeting presentations.
